Investment Analysis
The Cane Capital Group seeks talented underclassmen with unique perspectives to join the firm as research analysts. Research analysts are vital to the firm’s investment groups, which conduct in-depth research on companies, industries, and markets to identify investment opportunities. Analysts may have a passion for investing, but they may also be new to the field and interested in solving complex, multifaceted problems in a collaborative and engaging work environment. Analysts will be placed into one of our three pods based on need, fit, and preference.
What you’ll do day-to-day
Research, analyze, and perform due diligence on specific companies and industry sectors to help the team assess potential investments.
Stay up to date on current news and trends, read company reports, and analyze data from a variety of traditional and alternative sources.
Who we’re looking for
Candidates with keen critical thinking skills and a demonstrated interest in financial markets, current events, and stock analysis (e.g., through involvement in investing or finance clubs, research experience, stock-pitch competitions, or other academic competitions).
Applicants with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to analyze new investment ideas while contributing original ideas of their own.
We welcome applicants currently in their first or second year of study in any field; no previous finance experience is necessary
